Want to demonstrate the impact of your product? Get up to $200,000 through the BC Fast Pilot Program. 

About the Program

The BC Fast Pilot program is designed to help regional SMEs design, build and operate a pilot plant or small demonstration of their technology in real-world conditions. The program allows B.C. technology companies to demonstrate the impact of their product, measure the value of their solution, and encourage customer adoption. 

This initiative is delivered in partnership between Innovate BC and NRC IRAP.

Pilot Funding

Eligibility

  • Be a B.C.-based business. 
  • Be assigned and working with an IRAP Industrial Technology Advisor 
  • Have less than 500 employees on payroll. 
  • Have developed a prototype and are ready to demonstrate the technology at a customer site. 
  • Have an early adopter or potential customer identified. 
  • Meet NRC-IRAP’s eligibility criteria for financial support. 

Priority is given to:

  • Regional B.C. SMEs and pilot implementations/sites in B.C., especially outside the Lower Mainland. 
  • Pilot initiatives in the cleantech sector defined as processes, products, or services that reduce negative environmental impacts through significant energy. efficiency improvements, the sustainable use of resources, or environmental protection activities. 
  • Pilot initiatives involving physical installations and equipment, and are capital intensive in nature. 
  • Pilot initiatives involving Indigenous communities or organizations. 

Key Dates

  • Submit your Expression of Interest by April 12, 2021 
  • Successful applicants will be invited to provide a full proposal in May 2021
