Web Summit Vancouver is one of the world’s premier technology and innovation conferences. The four-day conference brings together more than 15,000 global technology leaders, international innovators, investors, industry leaders and media from around the world to exchange ideas, inspire innovation, identify investment opportunities, help companies grow, and shape the future of technology.
The BC Pavilion is a curated space on the Web Summit Vancouver exhibit floor showcasing the intersection of technology, people, and nature in B.C. In its inaugural year, the Pavilion welcomed over 3,000 visitors, featured 72 spotlighted ventures, and hosted interviews with more than 100 industry experts. Initiatives at the BC Pavilion include an Investor Showcase and Venture Spotlight, creating opportunities for local companies to showcase their technologies to a global audience.
The key themes featured as part of the BC Pavilion — cleantech, AI and quantum, life sciences, creative tech, agritech and oceantech — were selected not only because they represent areas where B.C. innovation is making a significant impact, but also to align with the Government of British Columbia’s Look West economic strategy.
This strategy focuses on diversifying markets and growing targeted high‑potential sectors as part of a broader effort to strengthen B.C.’s economy through investment in high and emerging technologies and expanded market opportunities.
Participation will be coordinated in collaboration with ecosystem partners, with companies identified and referred based on alignment and readiness rather than through an open application process. If you’re interested, we encourage you to connect with Innovate BC to explore potential opportunities.
The Road to Web Summit Vancouver, Powered by Innovate BC, is a comprehensive sector development initiative designed by Innovate BC to help companies develop and hone the skills they need to engage investors, share their story, and find success at the conference and beyond.
