SXSW offers the unique convergence of original music, independent films and emerging technologies.  Fostering both creative and professional growth, SXSW is the premier destination for discovery.

The internationally-acclaimed event attracts well of 50,000 delegates and boasts some of the most wide ranging programming of any event of its kind in the US including panels from the brightest minds in emerging technology, scores of exciting networking events hosted by industry leaders, mentor sessions, workshops and competitions with a special focus on new creative content.

Canada House at SXSW

The Canada House, powered by Telefilm Canada, brings together Canada’s film, tech, and music sectors under one roof. This unified front is leveraged to promote the strength of Canada’s creative industries. It's expected that over 2,000 delegates will visit Canada House over 5 days of exclusive programming showcasing what’s best in Canada.

The Vancouver VR/AR Association and Launch Academy have spearheaded a consortium to showcase B.C.-based technologies in the areas of VR/AR, Esports and Health & Wellness, at the Canada House on March 16, 2020.  Innovate BC is happy to join the consortium, to support and maximize the presence of BC tech companies and content at SXSW 2020.
