Elizabeth Dutton

With a background that includes leadership roles in tech, media, and digital entertainment, Elizabeth is deeply rooted within the broader tech landscape as well as B.C.’s innovation ecosystem. As Chief Operating Officer at Innovate BC, she oversees the organization’s operational teams, providing leadership across corporate operations, HR, IT, and administrative functions. Elizabeth drives the implementation of efficient systems and processes to achieve Innovate BC’s strategic objectives and fulfill its mandate to support innovation and technology growth in British Columbia.

Elizabeth’s experience spans roles at Amazon.com, Black Press, and Used.ca, and she is a Founding Partner of Women’s Equity Lab, a national angel investment firm for accredited women investors. Active in the startup community and passionate about enriching corporate cultures, she brings a wealth of expertise and energy to the execution of Innovate BC’s strategic plan.

Outside of work, Elizabeth is a mom of two and enjoys coaching kids’ soccer and travelling with her family. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) from Queen’s University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
