B.C.’s top startups pitched for $10K as global investors descend on Vancouver
Jointly Solutions has been named the winner of the BC Founder Faceoff: The $10K Pitch Competition, a live pitch competition showcasing some of British Columbia’s most promising tech ventures. Delivered as part of Innovate BC’s Road to Web Summit Vancouver (R2WSV) initiative, the competition took place on stage at Web Summit Vancouver, where global investors, founders, and industry leaders gathered.
Jointly Solutions was selected from a competitive field of 12 high-growth startups, ultimately taking home the $10,000 grand prize after a live finale judged by leading investors and innovation experts.
Jointly offers an online platform that empowers Canadians to create their own legally valid relationship agreements such as prenups, postnups and cohabitation agreements – entirely online, at a fraction of the cost of traditional legal services. Their product lowers the cost and complexity of accessing family law services in Canada, and aims to keep more families out of costly and contentious separations.
The finale also featured standout finalists KnowledgeKeepr, Butterfly Legal, and Farpoint Technologies, each presenting high-impact solutions across sectors including AI, life sciences, cleantech, and more.
The competition brought together ventures that represent the strength and diversity of B.C.’s innovation ecosystem. Following an initial round of rapid-fire pitches, the top four companies advanced to the main stage for a high-stakes final round.
Web Summit Vancouver once again placed a global spotlight on British Columbia’s tech sector, with hundreds of startups participating in the conference’s Alpha, Beta, and Growth programs and connecting with international investors, partners, and customers.
